Timney Fowler

These are a range of prints designed for both furnishing fabrics and wallpapers by Timney Fowler. The subject matter is directly relevant to my own work and offers suggestions for composition and scale. The use of a simple, monochromatic colour palette helps to emphasise the detailed and complex illustrations resulting in a range of effective prints.

Business Cards

This is the protoptype design for my business cards to be printed next week.

Illustrative Pieces for Show

These are some of the latest illustrative pieces that I have been working on. I am hoping to combine them to form a panel which will constitute the focal piece of my show.

Sanna Annukka

These are a range of gift cards designed for nineteen seventy three by Sanna Annukka. I came across them on the Print & Pattern Blog and absolutely loved them. The block colour and embellishment with gold foil within the statement prints, are really effective.

Florentine Duomo

As we are beginning to move towards the final stages of the year, I've been looking over the work produced within the previous module to assess its effectiveness for my portfolio. Some pieces, such as the one above, contained successful illustrations but had less effective colourways. I have re-coloured it to test its success.

Milanese Statue

Within this piece, the original illustration has been removed, leaving descriptive blocks of colour to express the image of the Milanese Statue.

Abstraction

As within most of my work, illustration is inherent in its development. However, within my design portfolio, I wish to include a collection of both figurative and more abstracted prints. The above designs were produced with this idea in mind. They are intended to formulate a simpler range that could sit alongside busier prints.
